The high prevalence of debilitating ocular conditions in Indigenous communities is certainly an issue that warrants attention. Anne-Marie Banfield will outline the salient findings of the National Indigenous Eye Health Survey (NEIHS) 2008 and proceed to explain how the states have implemented the 42 recommendations of ‘The Roadmap to Close the Gap for Vision’. Anne-Marie will conclude the lecture by discussing the findings of the Australian Trachoma Surveillance Report 2015.
